From the flames of a burning Air Force jet, he was called to the pulpit. 

From the flames of the 1992 LA uprising following theRodney King verdict, he helped rebuild a city. When the flames died, Rev. Dr. Cecil L. Chip Murray worked ceaselessly to address the social and economic ills that had spawned the unrest.

We will also present a Special Leadership Award to Congresswoman Barbara Lee for her tireless pursuit of peace.
