Friday Forum - Greg Palast on Vote Supression
"Those who rage against and work against expanding the electorate know what's at stake. The goal is to block access to the ballot and to policy making because letting the agitators inside might yield new laws to remedy inequality or injustice". -- Stacy Abrams
The push to prevent people from voting has always been an American tradition - from Poll Taxes to supposed "literacy tests", those who want to suppress the rights of citizens have always known that the power is not in who votes, but in who counts the votes.
Investigative reporter Greg Palast will be informing us on recent and ongoing attempts to disenfranchise voters, and the ongoing work to make sure that everyone has equal access to the ballot box.
