John Parker: Detained while delivering aid to Gaza

Event Description: John Parker was recently detained in Egypt when he met with the global conscience convoy to get humanitarian aid and journalists into Gaza via the Rafah Crossing.

Mr. Parker was detained when he and several others held up a banner in front of the foreign ministry. After 30+ hours he and the others were ultimately deported. He will be sharing his experience and lessons learned with us on this important Friday Forum.

Premiering the new documentary, "Honor Bound: Close Guantanamo Now!"

Along with NRCAT (National Religious Campaign Against Torture) and director Robert Corsini, Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace have put together a thirty-minute documentary outlining some of the many abuses of the prisoners at the facility, including interviews with past detainees. "Honor Bound: Close Guantanamo Now!" outlines our work in bringing to light a stain on this country that most people would like to forget, or in many cases don't even realize is still happening.
