Event Description: SOLA Community Peace Center has been partnering with ICUJP to do peace education with children and families in South L.A. for more than 18 years. We have learned some things during that time about the "how" of peace education and always learn more from ICUJP partners. Together we can create takeaways, as well as actions to address barriers and increase peace education opportunities. Bring your ideas, energy, and hopes.

Dr. Susan Stouffer has been working in Peace Education in South LA since she helped found Peace Camp more than 18 years ago. She has a Ph.D. in Occupational Science from USC. She loves peace education and working with and supporting/mentoring young people. She loves creating curricula, writing stories, gardening, and cooking. Her experience with a terminal cancer diagnosis at the age of 11 helped shape her valuing of people and their struggles, and her desire to have a positive impact.

We will gather at the Tesla dealership on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, 395 Santa Monica Pl #120, Santa Monica, CA 90401
Along with highlighting the damage that the Trump administration is doing to the federal government, we also wanted to put a spotlight on the actions of Musk in remaking agencies to feed his federal contracts, the marginalizing of union workers inside and outside of government, and the push to privatize government agencies.
