ICUJP Friday Forum
March 28th, 7:30-9:30 am Pacific

Pilgrim Place: Committed to Justice, Peace and Care of the Earth

RSVP AT BOTTOM OF PAGE

Event Description:

The purpose of this presentation is to confront the reality of apartheid in Israel and Palestinian territories, seeking to build a pathway to survival, justice, and peace throughout the region. More specifically, the purpose is to propose an interfaith movement that values life – all life – and is guided by a moral compass of compassion. An interfaith coalition has the potential to replace wilful ignorance and destruction with justice-building diplomacy, even to build a path toward lasting peace.

We will address four questions:

 - Why is apartheid an issue?

 - What power and responsibility do faith-based communities and organizations like ICUJP have?

 - Why do seniors involve themselves with apartheid in the Middle East?

 - What specifically can we do together to end apartheid and build real justice and lasting peace?

Join the conversation with our speakers:

Mary Elizabeth Moore

Her several books include Teaching from the Heart; Deep Understanding for Divisive Times (co-editor); and a poetry collection, So Much to Love, So Much to Lose.

Her articles have focused on ecological justice,
racial and interfaith relations, gender dynamics and issues, education, and compassion.

Renny Golden is an activist and an author. She was an organizer in the Sanctuary Movement and spent time in El Salvador during the war years.

Recap:
"Fire Musk!" action at Tesla dealership, 3rd Street Promenade

We would like to thank all of the great partners and friends that came to our action in front of the Tesla Dealership on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

It was wonderful to see all of the great people from many different organizations, auch as the ANSWER Coalition, CODE PINK, The Party for Socialism and Liberation, The Harriet Tubman Center for Social Justice, Americans for Democratic Action of So. Cal., The National Lawyers Guild - Los Angeles, and Justice for Palestine.

We would like to thank our speakers, spoken word artist Matt Sedillo, and all of the beautiful folks that brought their energy and lifted their voices in pushing back against the American Oligarchy.

Help Us Send Aid To Cuba!

Please join Interfaith Communities United for Justice and PeaceGlobal Health PartnersNot Just Tourists,, Pan-American Medical Association, Puentes de Amor, LA US Hands Off Cuba Committee (and its affiliates nationwide), Health Care for US - HC4US, and Operation Rainbow, Inc. as we raise funds to send medical supplies to Cuba and supply painkillers to those in need.

The main trauma hospital, Calixto Garcia, is completely out of painkillers like Ibuprofen, Tylenol, and aspirin. This dire shortage is a direct result of the US blockade and SSOT.

We appreciate any support you can give.
