Project Nimbus: When Tech is Misused by Warmongers
RSVP AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
Event Description:
Advances in medicine and agriculture have saved vastly more lives than have been lost in all the wars in history. — Carl Sagan
Project Nimbus is a $1.2bn contract signed by Google and Amazon to provide cloud services for the Israeli military and government. This technology allows for further surveillance of and unlawful data collection on Palestinians, and facilitates expansion of Israel’s illegal settlements on Palestinian land. This contract was signed the same week that the Israeli military attacked Palestinians in the Gaza Strip – killing nearly 250 people, including more than 60 children.
The technology these companies have contracted to build will make the systematic discrimination and displacement carried out by the Israeli military and government even crueler and deadlier for Palestinians.
No Tech For Apartheid is an international campaign made up of global technology workers that are working to end Project Nimbus, a contract between Google, Amazon and the Israeli military.

She was unjustly fired after participating in a sit in in the CEO of Google Clouds office, protesting the the Nimbus contract, which is a $1.2B contract between Google Amazon and the state and military of israel.
