SUPPORT ICUJP'S ONGOING WORK FOR JUSTICE AND PEACE!
If there is anything that we have learned in the almost 23 years since Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace was formed, it is that Justice and Peace do not just sprout up like weeds - it is soil that has to be constantly tended and worked, straining muscles and soiling clothes. But with that work and perseverance, the yield is bountiful and can feed multitudes.
From bearing witness (as well as hoods and prison garb) at our annual Guantanamo protest at the Downtown Los Angeles Federal Building, to working towards getting unhoused people a roof and stability, to visiting and speaking truth to local, state, and federal officials, we understand that "peace" is not a nebulous presence in the ether - it is always about PEACEMAKING, or as the writer Austin O'Malley wrote, "practical prayer is harder on the soles of your shoes than on the knees of your trousers."
Justice and Peace are WORK, and ICUJP has been doing that work with our partners for over 23 years:
All-Saints Pasadena Safe Haven Bridge to Housing Ministry
The Silencing of Palestinian Voices
Drop LWOP Coalition and SB 94
Thank you for being a partner in our fight for inclusion, equity and justice for all — will you join us in our future work by making a special gift to ICUJP today?
Please join us in our ongoing work to open doors with dialogue and compassion, and to make change with diligence, creativity, and open hearts and minds.
