Event Description:
On Sunday, August 4th at 1:30 PM in Santa Monica Join JVP-LA Westside group and the UUSM Peace and Social Justice Committee for a screening of 5 Broken Cameras
This film is the first in an education series about the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the resilience of Palestinians fighting for liberation. “5 Broken Cameras” is an Award-winning, first-hand account of life in Bil’in — a West Bank village threatened by encroaching Israeli settlements.
The 94 minute film will be followed by a group discussion about local organizing efforts to support Palestine. Light refreshments will be provided, sponsored by Jackson Market. Please consider donating $5-25 to cover costs.

Recap:
Life Not Death: Celebrating Palestinian Culture in Time of War
On Sunday, July 28th, Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace presented Life Not Death: Celebrating Palestinian Culture. We would like to thank our wonderful hosts at All-Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena for their invaluable help in putting it all together, as well as our great co-sponsors:
Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC)
If Not Now
Kinder USA
Muslim American Society (MAS/PACE)
Council on American/Islamic Relations (CAIR)

We have compiled an action page with scannable QR codes that you can use to contact your elected officials, divest and boycott companies profiting from war, and learn more about the history of the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe).
You can still donate to the event, and help us share proceeds with valuable organizations like Kinder USA that are doing important work on the ground.
