Assemblymember Gail Pellerin: What is at stake with Prop 50
RSVP AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
Event Description:
Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be. -- Sydney J. Harris
Donald Trump and red states are making an unprecedented power grab to steal congressional seats and rig the 2026 election before voting even begins.
They want to steal enough seats to control Congress regardless of how the people vote. If Californians don’t act now, Donald Trump will seize total power for two more years. That means more cuts to healthcare, eliminating a woman’s right to choose, militarizing our communities and continued disregard for the constitution. Proposition 50 is California's answer to fighting back against the powergrab.
