Event Description: 
The California Democratic Party recently chartered California Democrats For Justice In Palestine. Nyabingi Kuti will give a history of how this came about and the future of the organization.
We will also screen a short film directed by Mohammad Bakri, La Monde.

Nyabingi Kuti has been invovled in the Palestinian libeartion struggle for over 20 years. After the genocide began on October 7, 2023 he has stepped up his advocacy by working with If Not Now, CODEPINK, Black Lives Matter and other organizations to call for a ceasefire and arms embargo against Israel.

Recently, the ICUJP family and the larger Justice and peace community lost two icons - both ICUJP Board Member Chris Ponnet and Kent Wong of the UCLA Labor Center have worked to improve the lives of their brothers and sisters for many years and in many ways.
