It's Fair-Trade Shopping Week at ICUJP!
ICUJP is taking a break from our Friday Forums this week, no Forum Nov. 25th.
On this week of giving thanks, we wish you all a wonderful time with friends and family.
Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace encourages all of our friends to shop responsibly and mindfully this holiday season. Please check out this past Friday's forum presented by Carolfrances Likins: Fair Trade Gift-Giving as Acts of Solidarity.
Palm-Leaf Bowl, Mexico
Carolfrances Likins and ICUJP have also compiled our First Annual Fair-Trade Shopping List, with links to local and international sources for Fair-Trade, handmade items made by local artisans from all over the globe.
Oil-Drum carving, Haiti
Please consider making at least one holiday purchase from one of these great resources for beautiful pieces of art made by real, local craftspeople, and support these communities and traditions.
One of the longest-running and best places to shop for Fair-Trade products is Ten Thousand Villages, and from November 28th through December 12th, if you mention ICUJP Ten Thousand Villages will make a donation to Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace! So shop responsibly and support community artisans as well as ICUJP!
