LianaLiana Liang is the Communications Specialist at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-LA. She supports the communications team by uplifting the work of our policy team and programs.

Before she graduated UCLA with an International Development Studies B.A. and an Entrepreneurship Minor in 2019, she worked with the Asia Pacific Center, HKTDC, and nonprofits that furthered her interest in the activism and social justice realm. She has worked on several projects including COVID-19 relief funds, 2020 Census, voting rights, and dual-language immersion. In her free time, you can find her painting, dancing, or cooking.

Jeff DeGuia is Asian Americans Advancing Justice-LA’s Community Relations Lead.  He supports the organization's external network by connecting with regional CBO partners and service providers.

Before Advancing Justice-LA, Jeff previously worked in the Wedding/Special Events industry, interned with FilAm ARTS and their Festival of Pilipino Arts and Culture (FPAC) and was an Impact Fellow with Advancing Justice-Chicago in 2010.  At the age of 19, Jeff founded ManilaStar Events, an Asian American nonprofit focused on the arts with the mission to increase the representation of Asian Americans in mainstream media and to inspire younger generations to pursue their artistic and creative dreams.
