If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. -- African Proverb
Event Description: Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace has been through a lot of changes in its 22 years of existence, and through all of the tribulations, trials, challenges and successes, we have counted on the wisdom, experience and inspiration of our members and friends.
We invite you to join us (in person or online) at St. Camillus Center for Spiritual Care on Sunday, January 14th, for a retreat where we plan on discussing the strengths, challenges, opportunities for growth, and the path forward for ICUJP.
We're very grateful that Dick Bunce, former Chair of ICUJP and an experienced interfaith leader, will facilitate the Retreat.
We'll begin with a Roundtable Discussion focusing on what about ICUJP first attracted you and continues to attract your involvement to help us consider ICUJP's accomplishments and strengths. Then we'll break into Small Groups to discuss areas of concern, weaknesses, threats, and elephants in the room. After a short break, the small groups will report back and we'll consider possible corrective actions and options for the way forward. Finally, everyone will have the opportunity to rank our preferences and offer closing reflections.
The outcomes of the Retreat will be reviewed by the Board leading to the creation of a Plan for ICUJP's Future to be presented and discussed at an upcoming Friday Forum.
Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
Please note: Our Friday Forums and other events are open to the public. By attending, you consent to having your voice and likeness recorded, photographed, posted on ICUJP's website and social media, and included in ICUJP materials and publications for noncommercial purposes. If you don't want to be photographed or recorded, please let the facilitator know.
