Outside the Law: The Legal War Against Unhoused People

RSVP Below for Zoom Link and Password

Event description: Unhoused Californians face discrimination daily. They are cited and jailed for lacking a house. They are forcibly segregated and banished to remote and dangerous areas. Local governments withdraw lifesaving resources from them, harass and try to shut down the places they seek refuge, and disrupt the humanitarian efforts of individuals and groups attempting to meet their survival needs. Much of the state persecution they endure is harmful and even deadly. It is also not recognized as discrimination under the law. Learn about a growing campaign to end discrimination against our unhoused neighbors and what you can do now to fight these forms of state violence against our most economically vulnerable community members.
